The washer/dryer thing is what is holding us back at the moment. If we find a place with it's own washer/dryer, we're for sure doing it. I think we may do both disposables & cloth. My sister-in-law added up the cost of cloth diapering and compared to the water bill & electric bill, it actually was about the same. If you don't have a washer/dryer, you'd be going to a laundromat which would also be extra money, and not exactly convenient considering you would need to wash every other day, twice each time.Liv Szarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07233050704360684917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5667103652922920234.post-18001676042664477602012-03-21T11:49:38.295-07:002012-03-21T11:49:38.295-07:00Good question!

I believe they are called G-diapers. They are an Australian company, and I believe the lining easy breaks down, so it's "friendly". Here's the link for a national diaper service - http://diaperservice.realdiaperindustry.org/locate-a-diaper-service they pick up dirty diapers and drop off clean ones so no need for a washer and dryer. That's a bit tougher since you need to wash them at least twice each time (one cold wash, one hot). You can (like me) get by with a quick wash for the cold wash or just a rince, but you still need to run it again through hot water to really clean them with soap and sanitize them.

As long as you can do that - you can save money not drying them! :) I'm not an expert, but I've learned a lot over the past 8 months.
