Overwhelmed

With baby boy coming in just 10 short weeks... I'm feeling overwhelmed.
There's so much I feel like I need to get done, and its difficult when I feel like I have the energy level of a slug. I must be going through nesting or something.. just without the motivation to actually get things done!

Some things I feel like NEED to be done before baby boy comes:
-A completely cleaned and organized AND decorated apartment.
-I need to finish baby boy's blanket I've been working on for AGES.
-I want to crochet a few more things for baby.
-We need to REALLY figure out a final name.
-We need to make a final decision on how were going to do cloth diapers without a washer (thanks for all your great tips on this post BTW) . And actually, a friend of mine just sent me this link which could end up being a lifesaver! (thanks Molly!!)
-I need to figure out if were taking birth classes, and if we are WHERE (just admitting that we haven't done this yet makes me feel like a bad parent already for some reason)
-We need to do our taxes sometime (thinking about how awful doing last years was, is enough to make me want to cry)
-We need to still buy a few big things for baby: this one shouldn't be too hard since were planning on co-sleeping, cloth- diapering, baby-wearing, and breast-feeding.. but we still have a few things left that we need to get.

I'm sure I'm missing several.. but this is all I can think of for now.
I totally realize that in the scheme of things, these things seem silly. But, they feel so important! I guess I just need to do each thing one day at a time and not let myself get too stressed if not everything gets done.

Because in reality.. the really important thing is that our sweet boy arrives safely,
and that I soak up every day that I have left of him squirming around in my belly :)

30 weeks!

Today I have been pregnant with this sweet boy for 30 weeks! There's something about 30 weeks that feels like such a milestone. I'm so so thankful that we have been blessed with such a healthy pregnancy so far. We are getting so close to finally meeting this sweet boy. I find myself thinking about his arrival a lot. Our lives are going to change so drastically so soon... and I couldn't be happier.
Lee is falling more and more in love with our little boy everyday. It's one of my favorite things to watch. I die when I think about him holding and playing with this little baby :) Those two have such a sweet bond already.

Little man is moving around so much. I can tell that his movements are changing as he gets bigger. I hope he's not too smooshed in there ;)

This past week we've been watching my little brother while my parents have been vacationing. We've had a lot of fun spending time together. I even got him to take some pictures of us! :)

My parents live on the lake.. isn't it pretty??

Well, baby boy...
Were going to be seeing you in just 10 short weeks. I can hardly believe it. We love you more then we can say. I think we might have the perfect name for you.. but, were still working on it!
I'm soaking up these last few weeks with you in my belly. Being pregnant with you has been one of my favorite things ever.. I can only imagine how much I'll love holding you and being your mama.
Stay cozy in there, baby boy!
Love you so much,
Mama

Question for cloth diapering mamas:

So, we've decided that we want to do cloth diapering.
I'm not sure exactly when we'll start up, probably not right away.. just because I imagine we'll be getting used to all kinds of new things :) But, I have a question for when we do start up!

We don't have a washer or dryer.
Have any of you mamas ever successfully done cloth diapering without the convenience of having your own washer and dryer? If so, I would really appreciate any tips that you may have to make things easier!

Oh my.. I just can't wait to put my little boys bum in a adorable cloth diaper! :)

5 years

Two days ago marked 5 years since Lee asked me to be his girlfriend!
I was just a little girl! Ha... so funny. I was 15 and he told me that he liked me on Instant Messenger. So classy ;) But really, we both will never forget that day. It really was the start of something beautiful.
To think about how much has changed in 5 years is pretty crazy! I remember day dreaming about marrying that boy and what it would be like. And now, 5 years later and here we are. More in love then ever and expecting a sweet little boy that is a part of each of us.

I am blessed and so grateful!
I love my little family :)

Third Trimester!

As of this past Thursday, I am in the third and final trimester! Goodness.. it's going fast! This week, I'm going to answer questions from a little survey.. just to be able to document how things are right now.

How Far Along: These pictures are from 28 weeks exactly. But today, I am 28 weeks and 2 days ;)
Baby Size: A rutabaga! :) ...apx 15 inches and 2-3 lbs.
Total Weight Gain: I think around 18 pounds.
Maternity Clothes? I have a pair of maternity jeans.. which I wear all the time. I also got a couple maternity tops.. but as of now, I mostly wear my normal shirts.
Stretch Marks? Nope!
Sleep: A few nights ago I had a pretty bad night of sleep. He was moving allll over the place :) but really, I can't complain. I definitely don't mind having sleepless nights for this little boy!
Best moment this week: I love laying in bed with Lee and watching our little boy squirm around together. :) Also, sometimes baby does this thing where it feels like he's moving really quickly for a few seconds (kinda weird!!) .. and I always try to rub my belly and tell him it's okay and momma's here. It's so cute, because he always stops whenever I do that.
Miss Anything? Nope! I love being pregnant. I mean, of course there's little things I could complain about... but growing this beautiful boy in my belly totally outweighs any little annoying things!
Movement: So much movement from this little man! I love it so much.
Food Cravings: Mmm... it's weird, before I was pregnant I would always choose salty foods over sweets.. but now, bring on the sweets!!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing really!
Gender: It's a baby boy! :)
Labor Signs: No
Belly button in or out?  I've always had a flatty belly button. But when I'm in certain positions it does pop out a little.. so weird! Also, when he moves around my belly button it feels so sore! It's like a bruised feeling or something. I've read that your belly button gets sensitive.. because the skin is thinner there or something??
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: I've been trying to just really enjoy every week of this pregnancy. I know that I will definitely miss feeling his kicks every day. There so special.. my boy and I already have such a special bond :)
But, it is hard not to think ahead to the day that we'll meet our sweet boy!!! :) So exciting.
