Stuff.

For all of you (if any) have been waiting for me to post- I am sorry! I don't plan on leaving this blog unattended for this long- but sometimes I just lose track of time!

Our first Christmas together was great! I really just loved the time that Lee and I got to spend together on Christmas morning. It was simple and relaxing.
We went to Lee's parents house on Christmas day and my family got together the day after Christmas. Both were great & we had a wonderful time with family!

This is cliche...but Christmas has lost its meaning SO MUCH. It really is sad. Wherever you go you hear remarks about how it's almost over, i'm almost done shopping, i can't wait for the stress to stop. Why do we continue to do this to ourselves?

Lee and I were overwhelmed by the amount of stuff we got for Christmas. We were very thankful and appreciative. But it is hard for two people that are striving so much for a life of little to accept so much. My heart aches at the thought of so many other people in the world who didn't eat this Christmas, didn't have any water, and who sat alone while I feasted and had a blast with my family. Isn't our purpose to help those IN NEED? Lee and I have gotten to a point where we are drowning in our stuff, we want to give it all away to people that truly need it- because we don't. not at all. We are finally starting to actually do this and it is great! Our lives are SO much more simple when we have less.

Christmas tree frenzy & our first run!

A few weekends ago Lee and I decided to go and pick out a Christmas tree. (a REAL one!!) Lee has never had one before & my family has only gotten one a few times when I was little. We were both pretty excited  about it. Anyways, just a few days ago we finally got around to decorating it (complete with lights, bows, strings of beads, and our ornaments from childhood years). We had a lot of fun and it looked great!

So, on Sunday night we were relaxing on the couch in the living room when all of a sudden the whole entire tree completely FELL OVER! It fell over so hard that it broke ornaments! (thankfully they were just bulbs and not ornaments that had some great deal of meaning behind them) There was water and pine needles all over the place. :-/ and our decorating went down the tubes. But its back up again ...and we redecorated it all again. Oh well..... lets hope this doesn't happen again!

On another note, some of you may know that Lee and I have quit our jobs and are going to be working for a logistics company (thanks, mom!). Basically, we will be driving all over the country transporting different equipment and such to many different states. We are so excited about this- not only will we get to be together when we work, we'll get to go all over the country (something I'm crazy about...if you know me!)

We are also going to be purchasing a cargo van as it will allow us to be used a lot more because it is a larger vehicle. So if any of you know a good place to look for them- let me know!

While we are going through the process of buying a van, we are still working for the company by just using our car. So last night, we got our first run! It was out to an area right outside of Pittsburgh. We had a lot of fun- besides the stresses of trying to find a location that would not come up on our GPS! But we managed to get there just fine, and were looking forward to our next one!

A new beginning!

Well, here it is! The blog that I have wanted to start for a long time. I LOVE blogs. They are so inspiring to me. I think that the whole idea of blogging is so intelligent- their great! So I am really excited to start this blog. I'm kind of starting this blog in honor of a new beginning in my life. As most of you know, I just got married last month! It has been exactly 22 days since our wedding- wow! Time is flying by already! Marriage is FANTASTIC. I love it! I always get to be with my best friend :-) perfect.
Basically, this blog will be about our lives (our travels, opinions & ideas, our ministry, pictures, and maybe even a little cooking talk ;-) it will be a good way to stay connected with family and friends throughout our crazy journey (who knows where that will be!)
Anyways, I am so excited for this new season in both of our lives. So, if you'd like...join us on our journey!
